Differentiating between Islam and terrorism

An important thing that i have been stressing on in my articels has been the ultimate difference in the some political and social ideology. The concepts concerning the worldly life of people have always been from the politicians and poets. Whereas the practices recommended by religious people have always been from spiritual and holy people. They seem having no concern with the development of this worldly life. Their ultimate aim has been to improve their people spiritually and to enrich them in the concept of hereafter. All historical references show taht Muhammad (saw) was a spiritual person. His prechings were for the betterment of hereafter. He laid great stress on sacrificing the worldly gains and advantages. His own life was the life of a poor man. At the tiime of his death he had only ten dirhams in his pocket. If he wished he might have got thousands of dirhams but that certainly was not his aim.

If there had been some politician of poet he might have built some residence or his own. Further he might have gathered some personal army and treasure house. But history tells us that there was nothing like this. All the converts were bound to go on Jihad, a duty assigned by Allah. Now in whosoever religion you believe, think you are in the position of a prophet. You are recieving revelations. You completely believe that they are from God or Allah. What will you do if there comes a revelation concerning Jihad. Will you refuse to accept it as revelation. Certainly not. You cant do it. You will have to obey the orders in every case. You cant even think otherwise. Prophet Muhammad was quite obedient to the Holy Angel and the revelations he broght from Allah Almighty. Even in his own times the people disliked that killing in the way of Allah. But he was ordered again and again and he could not do any thing except to obey them. Now for the time while leave the commandments of Jihad for a while. Is the rest of Islam not a religion in itself. All other orders are centered to the betterment of hereafter. And this is enough to prove some concept as religious or spiritual. Since the very beginning the Muslims were allowed to preach only. After Buddhism and Christianity, Islam is the religion that was spread by not politicians but preachers. If Jihad had been the religion why millions of people accepted it as their life path. Then how much Jihad there was in the history of Islam. No Muslim shcolar has ever claimed that the wars of Tamberlain and other sultans were a kind of Jihad. Practically there had not been any Jihad after the death of Prophet. If some say that the wars caliphs fought with other nations was also a Jihad even then they were not more than the time of forty years or so. It is universally admitted that there was no Jihad after the death of firts four caliphs. Now the preachings and history prove that Jihad has never been a foremost practice in Islam. In the history of Islam there is not a single precher who raised sword against some non Muslim. Rather the history tells that the Muslims have been living with non Muslims in Spain, India and Africa, even Arabia, for nearly hundreds of years. How it could have been possible if Jihad had been the necessary principles in the preachings of Islam. Now the people who keeping in mind the activities of present day politicians say that Islam is a terrorist religion are utterly wrong. They know nothing about Islam, its history and the aims of present day politicians. They dont realise that they are being blackmailed emotionally. They dont know that their passion for their religion, their aim to be forgiven in the hereafter and their respect for their prophet is being totally exploited.
Here in my country it is a common assuption that our religious leaders are the most unreligious people, and that they are american agents. They recieve grants from America to do this all and thats all. All over the world the politicians are blaiming Muslims of terrorism and killing them for nothing. 'If a Muslim' I have read some body writing on here, 'observes five times prayers, remains neat and clean, proves himself honest in his dealings, even then he is a terrorist. Because he is doing some thing that is different from others.' If to do something different from others is terrorism then they are terrorists, if it is not then they are not. I say it is their love for Allah, Prophet and His Din that forces them to be different from others not any terrorist spirit. If somebody tries to do this all he will come to know how difficult this becoming different from others is. In the end I would like to say that Islam is totally a spiritual religion. It has nothing to do with any kind of terrorism. The word Jihad the alternative of terrorism was first used after fifteen hundred years when USSR fell into war with Afghanistan. It was totally a political strategy of America, as it is now, it had nothing to do with religion.
