Should children be taught religion

religion is nothing more than a certain belief and even more certain practices. the main purpose of that belief seems at the most to improve or enhance the importance of practices. for example if a person has no belief in God he will not be ready to do any good with orther people. without a certain belief in God he cannot sacrifice for others. he cannot stopping cheating others. he cannot stop telling lies. this and that. now in the modern times if selfishness is preferrable, if telling lies proves useful, if killing others for political benefits is helpful and we dont dislike them we shuold tell nothing about religion to our children. on the other hand if we want to stop people practice such such we should taught them religion. no body would like to pracitice these things if he is not ensured that he would be given reward in the world hereafter. the promise to get reward of these deeds in this world would make these deeds like others. so the promise to get reward in the hereafter is more positive. the main purpose of religion seems establishing a positive society. we can see that in past when people were religious in certain societies the socieities were more peaceful than the societies where there was no religion. in modern societies the great cause of relessness in people, a large number of depressions and complexes are due to the lack of religious education. we try to solve one porblem and there is another in the very beginning. nothing is solved permanently. we have stopped thinking about the requirements of spirit. we think that physical and mental conditions may help solve our problems. we dont think that problems are born out of spirits. these are the spirits that should be satisfied first not the minds and bodies. the modern conditions are unhealthful for spirits. to create a balanced society where there should be no false practice where there should be no negative quality, we should encourage the spiritual values. the religious education helps encouraging the spiritual values.
